Legal and technology consultancy Anjos & Brum is one of the partners of the Web Summit Lisbon 2026 Immersion & Mission, a seven-day programme that brings startups to Portugal to pitch to investors, connect with the press and seek entry into the European market. The initiative is promoted by the incubou incubator together with the Cybertech Acceleration programme.
Over the course of a week, participating founders follow an agenda that combines attendance at Web Summit — Europe’s largest technology event, held annually in Lisbon — with pitch sessions, business meetings and immersion in the Portuguese entrepreneurial ecosystem. The programme’s stated goal is to turn the trip to Lisbon into an internationalisation operation, with qualified contacts and a concrete plan for expansion into Europe.
incubou, based in northern Portugal, has been supporting startups through internationalisation processes and is known for connecting the Portuguese-speaking ecosystem with the European market. Cybertech Acceleration, in turn, is an acceleration programme focused on the technology sector, which in previous editions has taken companies on international missions, including to Silicon Valley.
Under the partnership, Anjos & Brum is responsible for legal and technology support to participants. This covers legal structuring in Portugal — company incorporation, tax framework, contracts and regulatory compliance —, immigration and founder mobility support, with visas and residence permits, and technology consultancy, which includes bringing products into line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and security best practices.
According to the consultancy, the arrival phase is decisive for a startup’s success abroad. A company that lands in Europe with the right legal structure and a compliant technology base saves time and reduces risks that frequently jeopardise early-stage projects.
